About MUSH
Mush was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and his journey has been one of resilience, exploration, and self-discovery. Early in life, external circumstances led him to migrate to Ghana, where he spent four years completing his early education. After graduating from senior school in Accra, he relocated to Barcelona, Spain, to reunite with family, embrace his adolescence, and seek deeper meaning in his experiences.
In Spain, Mush’s desire for growth and purpose inspired a bold decision to move to Finland
—a place he felt called to explore for his personal and professional development.
Arriving in Finland, Mush was greeted by its crisp, cold winters and an awakening to the importance of mental health. During this period, he lived with his partner, working to establish stability and build a foundation in his new home. Over time, he connected with a vibrant community of artists who recognized his creative potential and encouraged him to express himself through music and visual art.
These connections became the catalyst for Mush’s artistic journey. Revelations of how damaged one might be mentally pushed him into creating art pieces that not only represent his journey but also a beacon of inspiration and support to the journey of others.

BIOGRAPHY
For the ones who have been eager to hear something new in the music scene, Mush is providing just that, and more. The recordings are spiritual-musical experiences that reveal their true meaning in heightened conscious states, but also work when the objective is only to get the body moving and blood flowing. Aiming to empower the spirit, the music of MUSH combines sharp observations about society and human psychology, which in many cases is turned against the population itself.
The music strives to uplift, inspire, heal generational traumas and generate new forms of expressing oneself.
Mush has been a notable figure in the Helsinki culture scene during the last couple years; in 2023, Mush and funk-rock artist Grande Mahogany released their first three singles from their joint project ”Leone Cedi”. He has also been hosting a popular jazz-funk fusion evening in Harju 8 basement called Soul Cellar, while also having his own performances with a live band in Tiivistämö, Siltanen, Valkoinen Sali, Onda music & arts cafe in Tampere. On the 25th of September Salad Factory organized a showcase for MUSH at Mellakka.
Various local clothing brands(such as All Good, Hän, Billebeino) have MUSH in their catalogues. He has also been working as a bartender in the heart of Helsinki music scene Ääniwalli.
Mush comments about the track Krio – ”At the time of making this track, I was feeling the farthest I have ever felt from home with indescribable ways even to myself. Great master `P` brought inspiration to help me find my ways to express myself from within.A very essential aspect of this creation has been the relationships I have built with my comrades that are with me in and out the studio.”
